IN-PLANT AWARENESS WEEK!  February 23 - 27, 2015

Celebrated the last week of February, In-Plant Awareness Week is a chance to celebrate your In-Plant and it's employees!  Announce your upcoming celebration plans through e-mails, your website, company newsletter, job tickets - even your voice mail greeting! Below are some ideas to get your creative juices flowing!  Have fun! 

  • Create a press release announcing the upcoming week's events and email it to customers, prospective customers, management and vendors.
  • Hold a drawing each day of the week. Encourage customers to stop by your shop each day to enter. The gifts can be as simple as discount coupons or notepads, or you can partner with a vendor to supply a gift for a grand prize drawing.
  • Create signs or banners announcing In-Plant Awareness Week and position them in high-traffic areas throughout your organization. You might want to refer to the week as Customer Appreciation Week!
  • Clean and decorate your shop. It's a time to celebrate and display your pride! If you have won trophies or awards, now is the time to display them.
  • Create a week-long marketing plan.
  • Display your competitive pricing -- create signs throughout your in-plant or organization to show your savings compared to outside vendors. 
Monday: Celebrate with an open house for current and prospective customers. Have staff members positioned throughout the shop to describe the processes and equipment and answer any questions.
Tuesday: Invite your suppliers in for coffee.
Wednesday: Leave each staff member a personal note of appreciation (or a sleep-in-late or leave-an-hour-early certificate that can be used at their discretion.)
Thursday: Create a flier with tips for customers when designing materials, distribute discount coupons. Offer a 5-10% off promotion during the week.
Friday: Host a pot luck lunch or snack for your staff; bring in pizza, a pan of brownies or a box of donuts.
