Erik Holdo,
Senior Vice President, Production Print Solutions
Konica Minolta Business Solutions, USA

Mr. Holdo (UCLA, Economics '88) began his career in the Production Print industry nearly 23 years ago when he founded Holdo Consulting, a Novell network engineering firm that focused on CAD and CTP networking applications for the engineering and offset printing markets. He joined Xerox in 1990 as an analyst and specialist for the revolutionary DocuTech product family, achieving national success and eventually becoming the Western Regional Manager of the MVNS division at Xerox. Mr. Holdo left Xerox to form his own digital imaging and printing service bureau in 1995. There, he designed revolutionary image processing software that enabled Xerox devices to produce full rated speed TIFF image prints on all production Xerox devices. The company grew by focusing on transactional printing and mailing, variable data printing utilizing Document Sciences Compuset, and Litigation Imaging and Image Blowback. This company eventually became part of Compex Litigation Services as the Litigation Imaging division, where Mr. Holdo was named Vice President of Sales and Operations. After successfully building this business within Compex, it was sold to Aspen (Uniscribe) at which time Mr. Holdo took the position of Vice President of Production Imaging and Printing Sales with Continental Graphics in Los Angeles, CA. There, he revolutionized the traditional production methods for production printing of Classified and Non-classified Technical Manuals and Wiring Diagrams for commercial and defense customers by automating the workflow to eliminate master creation and rotary microfilming requirements, instead creating all paper, microfilm and IPDF files required in one contiguous workflow, greatly eliminating opportunity for error. In 2000, Mr. Holdo joined Ikon Office Solutions as the National Digital High Volume Systems Support Manager, one of the four key team members that launched the new Canon ImageRunner 110 (aka Kodak Digimaster 9110) as part of a corporate program. With principal responsibility for the technical sales and product strategy as well as advanced customization requirements, he frequently worked with Product Engineering and Canon and Kodak/Heidelberg and is directly responsible for several key software innovations in products such as TR Systems Micropress (Now EFI Micropress), EFI Compose, and Kodak Smartboard.

Mr. Holdo is Senior Vice President, Production Print Solutions Division, for Konica Minolta, where his current responsibilities include sales performance nationally of the Production Print Solutions Group, development of customized software solutions as the head of the Production Print Advanced Solutions Group within KMBS, and overall Product Strategy for High Volume products within KMBS Direct Channel. Mr. Holdo frequently speaks at International Production Print focused shows, including PODi AppForum, GraphExpo, OnDemand, Recharge World Expo 2011, All In Print (China), XPlor, NPOA, NSGPA and CGX Emerge.
